Welcome to "soft washing" or "no-pressure washing" for houses and buildings. You don't need pressure to wash a house. What you do need is strong cleaners and a way to deliver those cleaners up to the top of gable ends.
The Original X-Jet and its newest offering, the M5, are chemical delivery systems. Connecting to the end of your pressure washer wand (where a nozzle usually goes) this tool injects your cleaner and shoots it up to 40' up the side of a home, wall, or building.
The difference between an Original X-Jet and an M5 X-Jet is a knob built-in on the M-5. Twisting the knob varies the "throw" distance of the water and/or soap from a max of about 35' down to around 6' - and anywhere in between. The Original is not quite that easy to adjust, but it comes with a Close Range Nozzle that will cut the "throw" to about 6'. The Original has no 'in between' distances. The Original "throws" about 5' longer than the M-5.
Which one is right for you? It comes down to personal preference, but most professionals opt for the M5 for the flexibility it offers.
Because the cleaner is injected at the end of the wand, none of it travels through your pump or hoses or trigger gun or wand. This extends the life of those items significantly, particularly if bleach is a part of your cleaning mix. This tool pays for itself in saved time and by extending the life of your hoses and fittings by years. If you currently use a telescoping wand to wash houses, an X-Jet will pay for itself in saved time the very first time you use it!
Stay on the ground, off ladders, and wash a 3-story home with ease. Apply your cleaner from the bottom up with your X-Jet or M5, and then let it sit and dwell for about ten minutes. Then simply turn off the soap valve on your X-Jet and shoot clear rinse water from the top down. That's all there is to washing houses (as long as you are using a strong cleaner like Power House).
Most contractors can wash an average home in about an hour or so with this unique tool.
