When you are doing deck sealing, airless sprayers atomize too much - so too much sealer goes airborne. Not enough of it goes into the wood. Instead, it floats in the air to land on the neighbor's house or car. Airless sprayers can't apply cleaners, either. They require a lot of maintenance and cleaning, averaging an extra half-hour after every use.

Pump-up sprayers are uneven, break easily, and take so darn long on a job. Backpack sprayers leak, presenting their own safety problems with strong cleaners.

The Deckster battery-powered sprayer is the best of all worlds because it gives you an even flow of material and larger droplets for better applications. You can apply any thin liquid, even deck strippers and brighteners. The adjustable trigger gun is an ideal way to apply deck sealer. It has a thumbwheel right on the gun that lets you cut down the flow by as much as 30% without going back to the sprayer to adjust it. This feature helps minimize overspray when you do detail work like raining spindles.

The cone-jet nozzle applies products in a circular pattern, making sure you hit every spot on the surface twice in a single pass. Saves time! A fan tip is also available.

Options are available that will make your Deckster even more versatile!

For example, you can add a second hose (this one will be clear) so that you have one hose for cleaners and one you can reserve for sealer. You never have to rinse out the sealer hose (sealer that remains in the hose will blend with the sealer you want to use on the next job). Another option to consider is the Hurricane Brush. This soft-bristle brush has a 5' handle that connects directly to your Deckster. NOTE: We know several contractors are using this sprayer with bleach, which is highly corrosive. Parts will corrode in contact with bleach, and we do not warrant bleach-related damage. When using a Deckster with bleach or any strong corrosive, it is imperative that you thoroughly rinse the sprayer inside and out immediately after use. The only sprayer we build meant to handle bleach is the Roofster.
